Predesign: Draw your ideas on paper

Predesign is a website where you can download or print mockup templates of phones, tablets, browsers and watches to wireframe or brainstorm your ideas. This is my privilege that I have worked on this project and solved this problem. So today, I am going to tell you more about this project from start to end. Let’s go…..

Ideation

The idea behind this project is to create a solution, where all the designers can draw their ideas and brainstorm before creating the actual design( That’s why it’s called Predesign).

Problem

There are lots of problems that designers are suffering, during the process of paper wireframing. Here are some -

They have to draw screens manually on whatever device they are working on, which looks messy and takes a bit of your time and ended up looking like this.

2. These wireframes are also not presentable and if you will use them in your case studies it can cause a bad impression as well.

3. There is no system to manage these wireframes like you don’t know which screen is related to which date and you kinda lost and arranging your papers like this

Solution

Can you relate to the problems? It was me as well. So, I tried to find the tools available online and found some. But problem is that they don't have all mockup templates available to print.

Then I have decided to create Predesign. The simple and minimal solution to the problem which I have discussed.

Process

Target Audience

First I need to define my target audience. By seeing this problem that I am solving, I can consider all the digital product designers are my target audience.

User journey

The main goal of users on this website is to print the mockup templates. So, I had to make this process short and quick, so that they can get their job done. This is the shortest flow I came up with

There are only three steps in which any user can get their job done.

Branding

I have decided to keep the theme of this website is minimal and easy to understand for beginners to pro designers. This is the colour theme I am using in this project
